There are music festivals. There are food festivals. And then there is the Korça Beer Festival — an event that transcends every category and simply becomes, for four glorious nights in August, the heartbeat of Albania. Officially recognized by the Albanian tourism authority as the largest summer tourist event in the entire country, the Korça Beer Fest has been drawing thousands of visitors from across Albania and abroad every August for over 16 years — and it remains, by the consensus of everyone who attends it, one of the most genuinely joyful and authentically Albanian experiences available anywhere in the Balkans.
