About the event
Just 2 kilometers north of Shëngjin's town center, hidden behind a ridge of forest-covered hills, lies one of the most remarkable and least-visited natural landscapes on the entire Albanian coast: Rana e Hedhun — "the thrown sand" in Albanian — a sweeping stretch of wild Adriatic coastline characterized by dramatic coastal sand dunes (the only significant dune system on the northern Albanian coast), ancient pine forest, and a long, completely undeveloped beach that stretches for several kilometers without a single building in sight.
This half-day guided coastal walking tour explores the full length of this extraordinary coastal strip, combining natural history interpretation, a seaside walk, and the opportunity to experience a completely authentic, undeveloped stretch of the Albanian coast before it changes.
Your guide meets you at the northern edge of Shëngjin town and leads you through the pine-scented forest on a soft-sand trail that climbs over a low ridge…
