About the event
Rozafa Castle is arguably the most dramatically positioned fortress in Albania — perched on a rocky hill at the exact confluence of three rivers (the Drin, the Buna, and the Kir), with Lake Shkodra shimmering behind it and the Albanian Alps rising in the distance. Dating back to Illyrian times (around the 4th–3rd century BC) and expanded significantly by the Venetians and Ottomans, it has served as the key defensive stronghold of northern Albania for over 2,500 years.
